Yes, I have ...
I use my iPad for navigation, I have the Ram mount fixed to the dash of my 300 Tdi. Sits very secure, i am very happy with it. I really like the look of the ram mount kit but I can't find anyone local who stocks it. The head office is about 10 mins from the office but they don't have visitors so its a "no sale"
What I need is the ability to hold a tablet in 2 defenders, a 300tdi and a Puma. It's dimensions 275 x 170 x 14mm |

BP, what is the weight of your tablet?
That defines what size ball system is required. There are three ball sizes, 1", 1.5" and 2.25". Dependent on weight you would need one of the two larger ball systems. Assuming you have a heavy tablet it might be a case of fixing a ball on a base plate either to the bulkhead or front of seat box, side of transmission tunnel. Then the tablet holder is fixed to an arm and can be readily transferred between both vehicles. Let me know via pm the actual tablet make and I will try to work out appropriate holder. HTH Brendan |

Simon, have not got a picture at the moment. Will take one later today.
You just undo the front seat rail bolt and slide the RAM foot in. IIRC the two lengths are 6" and 18". You could decrease length of arm with use of hacksaw, however my first choice would be to try and bend surplus arm length out of the way. This all depends on your requirements. Remember RAM is American, hence imperial size Allen key/sockets will be required Brendan |

I have a set up exactly the same as Ray in my D3. I use a TB so don't use it like Ray. In the fact that I don't use the TB in a traditional laptop style. It's always folded over as a tablet. Works perfectly. Did a 2 week trip to Morocco last year and performed exactly as I wanted it to.
In the 90 I have bolted the ball to the side of the centre console rather than a frame like Ray has. Usinig a short arm it positions it perfectly for me to see the screen when in the driving position 110 D250 SE HT 110 USW SOLD RRE HSE Dynamic Gone, wife killed it VOLVO XC60 R Dynamic with some toys Polaris RZR 900XP SOLD |
