H4 technology has advanced a lot in recent years, and there are huge differences in light output and color of current H4 light bulbs. Anybody has recommendation for which of todays H4 bulbs give the best results, i.e. highest light output on the road? I am looking for good quality white, not blue-ish light. Those artificial blue coloring lights reduce the light output anyway.

I use these with SVX type headlamps, and the difference in light compared to the standard ones is enormous. 2010 110 XS USW (the slow one) 1960 Alfa Romeo Giulietta SZ (the fast one) 2005 Ducati ST3 1954 Sunbeam S8 |

Thanks for the response. Have been reading some reviews abt these newest Philips X-treme Vision H4 bulbs and all quite positive comments. Luckily seems they emit a bright white, but not blue-ish light. Blue-ish is the last thing I would want. So will give these Philips a try in the SVX.

Well understood, but after 3.5 years now and abt 55K km, I have still have not blown one of my two original ex-factory H4s, even if I have been driving with my lights on at daytime too. So if these brighter Philips H4s last anywhere close to only 2 years, not too bad I think. Will change over X-mas break. Eric
