Details from service manual
Windshield washer jets

The windshield washer jets are attached on the windshield wiper arms. The washer fluid feed hose from the front/rear washer pump is connected to the jets. In line with each washer jet there is a non-return valve to prevent washer fluid draining back to the windshield washer reservoir. The non-return valves also limit the amount of washer fluid, which can be forced from the jets during cornering.

When the vehicle is equipped with heated windshield washer jets, the washer jets contain heater elements, which improve performance in cold conditions. The heater elements are controlled by the BCM/ GWM. The BCM/ GWM energizes the heater elements when the Ambient Air Temperature (AAT) falls below a predetermined temperature. 110 XS 250 MY 23 Gondwana Stone, Cold climate pack and towbar

Thanks for that explanation Thumbs Up

This is so odd. I can't really grasp how the washer jets are heated on my 2020 X model with heated washer jets on the build sheet / window sticker.

No evidence of heating on mine anywhere. ie -- no electrical plugs going to the wiper arms whatsoever, just the rubber tubing. If it's indeed inside the tubers, how would it get "out" of the washer tube? And it would need a plug on the vehicle harness. All of which I didn't see on my car.

Just driving thru the mountains last weekend, my screen wash froze up and stopped working in a snowstorm, I wasn't thrilled. I had blue -20 degrees fluid in and it wasn't nearly that cold... So interested in detective work here.
