Back Seat USB Ports Missing
Just taken delivery of an X-dynamic S and there are no back-seat USB ports. All the ports are blanked out. I think there should be ports. Can anyone help please?

The specification changes all the time.

Speak to your dealer or see if they've got one in the showroom that you can have a look at.

it's called 'de-selecting' options

the industry is full of it at the moment.

My 2023 110 XS has no rear seat USB's - all blanked off.
I have popped off the blanking covers & there are 2 connector plug tapped up - I am guessing I might be able to connect a couple 'powerfuls' USB sockets to these.
Trouble is the holes are small & my fingers are too fat.
Need to set aside some Saturday morning time for this -
Also I did't get the USB in the front upper shelf (in front of the passenger)
I haven't had a look yet to see if there is any connector lurking underneath.

It's been reasonably well documented that there has been a shortage of USB sockets and that LR have been omitting them from builds as a result. You should check with your dealer as to whether it's intended to supply them at a later date or not. Darren

There is a service bulletin that states exactly that, they will be supplied and fitted by the dealer once available.

Not all dealers are aware of this though it seems.

Yes there is an Ochre/Yellow connector with a Blue wire and a Black wire. No Mud flaps for my 90.!

l've got a base spec 90 Commercial just arrived and that's got two keys as well.

It seems keys are not the issue at the moment, it's the clear sight rear view mirror they can't get. Not that mine has one, but it means you can't order the centre seat option.

I also am in the same boat. My dealer had an official comms letter explaining the issue and plan to replace the blanks with power sockets when supplies allowed.

I also have a blank on the front 'glove box / shelf' to the left of the central driver's display.

I've been moaning for 18 months about this..

Contractually, they cover themselves with a blanket 'we can change price up to delivery date'.
I can't help feeling this is an outdated clause meant for more 'normal' times, in today's world of +1 year wait times, I believe the clause is unfair/insufficient. I wouldn't be surprised if a class action lawsuit was attempted in years to come. (There are plenty based on being misled for finance agreements by banks).

Spoke to the dealership today (Sytner's) and almost before mentioning the missing USBs they immediately apologised and said they were aware of the service bulletin, and would be fitted as soon as the parts become available.

This is on a D250 110 X-Dynamic S, so I suspect all variants should be eligible. A lot happier now!

Things are sounding more positive at getting these fitted by the dealer
I have not had any comment from my dealer - I’ll have to chase - I’m sure mine should have them - seems poor that these days a car of this level would only come with the USB & C in the front.

Does seem odd to me that the various sockets (USB, C & old 12 volt) all seem to be available from 3rd party companies?
A lot are advertised as LR OEM - the close up photos show the LR part numbers etc?

Can’t understand why the dealers aren’t getting the stocks for us? - suppose they’ve got the money from us now so they don’t really care ?
