![]() ![]() Beggars belief really. I don't honestly think anyone who runs summer tyres in winter should be allowed to claim on their insurance: "I can't understand it, I was driving down the road and suddenly I was in a hedge/ditch. What on Earth are the councils playing at..." Anyway... ![]() |

I still get odd comments that i have winters for all our cars. Although my wife’s Skoda runs it’s all year, good year vector all seasons, bloody brilliant tyres.

Your tire size seems a bit odd to me. 255/65 R19 is the tire size on my winter wheels. Running Continental WinterContact TS 850P with Alpine symbol. Very good snow performance. |

"My came with Michelin Latitude Tour HP that is not All Season"
Still some confusion between "M + S" and "3 Peaks", I feel. Surely the Michelin Latitude Tour HP is "M + S" so can be considered adequate for Winter/All Season. However, it's only "3 Peaks" tyres that will be legal in certain areas from 2024 and boy, what a price difference there seems to be!. If conditions are that bad I probably won't be driving anyway, but like some other posters I'll carry some chains in case I'm caught out... Peter |

I also get odd comments about running winter tyres in winter. People say "but it hardly ever snows, what's the point", so you try to help them by explaining how winter tyres "work" but they just dont get it. I have a set of Nokian winter SUV on my RR Sport and they are spectacular in terms of grip, and stunning in heavy rain, standing water etc.
