I have a similar issue and I'd be curious if anyone has an answer.

check the low range sensor on the transfer box. when the ecu thinks you are in low it changes the mapping to what you are describing Roaming around ๐ณ๐ด๐จ๐ญ

Clutch switch possible, bridge it to see if it is culprit youโll soon know.
If it seems better all of a sudden, leave it bridged or replace clutch switch. I canโt say it is that, but worth investigating as clutch switch cuts torque and can cause a rev hang as well.

Finally got around to bridging the clutch switch and made a world of difference. The throttle responds immediately and doesn't hang anymore. Thanks for that tip!
Not sure if it's me getting used to the difference in response now, but the throttle is pulsing now. It doesn't do it all the time, but I either have to put my foot into the throttle or let off completely to not pulse. There doesn't seem to be an in between. Any thoughts on that? Thanks! |

I spent nearly a year tracking down a pulsing throttle on my 2.2. Turned out to be wear on the loom where it comes through under the body, rubbing against the tub. Had worn through and was shorting on the bodywork.
Worth checking out as it was easy to spot once worked out. |
