I have an intermittent starting issue with my 2010 2.4 D90. After a period of I put the key in the ignition and nothing happened, no lights at all, not even the blinking LED. I turn the key, nothing. I assumed the battery must have a parasitic drain somewhere and be completely dead
However, when I tested the battery with a multimeter the LED started blinking again and the vehicle started first time. The multimeter also showed a healthy battery. This has happened several times since and is rectified with the multimeter. I've checked other posts that refer to the instrument cluster, etc but my symptoms seem to be different. I'm thinking ignition switch or maybe immobiliser, any help would be appreciated. |

Both good suggestions, I tried those in the first instance. It feels a bit more "electronic", I'm hoping somebody will have had the exact same symptoms.
