GAP Diagnostic IIDTool Announcement
---2017+ LRs Announcement---

Hello Everyone

Hope you are all well.

Patrick here from GAP Diagnostic. For those who do not know us, we have been providing diagnostic tool for LR enthusiasts for a few years now Wink

We first want to thank everyone who have been supporting us all these years. Its been quite a fun journey!

Finally, after a long development cycle, we are proud to announce that the beta testing phase for the following 2017+ vehicles is well under way:

-L663 Defender (the demand for this one was something else!)
-L462 Discovery
-L550 Discovery Sport
-L405 Range Rover
-L551 Range Rover Evoque
-L494 Range Rover Sport
-L460 Range Rover
-L461 Range Rover Sport
-L560 Range Rover Velar

The IIDTool BT (Gen 3) and IIDTool Pro (Gen 3) are suitable for these platforms. Earlier Gen 2 units cannot be used due to hardware limitations but we do offer an exchange program from G2 to G3 units.

The aforementioned tools are now capable of the following functions including a few specific examples:
-Faults

-Height Adjust (change vehicle height)*

-Height Control

-Calibration*
CHCM--Suspension, Guided Calibration, Manual Calibration

-Service Test:
IPC-Instrument Pack, Service Interval Reset, DPF Regen*
GWM--Gateway Module, Battery replacement
CHCM--Suspension, Set normal/Tight Tolerance Mode, Test Valve
ABS--Parking Brake Pad Replacement, Release / Exit Service Position
RFA--Remote Function Actuator, Key Coding, Check Number of Keys*

-Live Values, complete list

-Car Configuration File editing, complete list*

-ECU Flash (fast lane)*

-ECU Info

*VIN Locked

We will of course add functions as development progresses.

Car configuration wise, we have found a few good ones on our L663 that we will share shortly. Retrofits will be interesting on the L663 for sure.

Anyone interested in participating in the beta phase are welcomed to contact us via our website contact form;

And for those already in the loop, by email, PM or reply to this post!

I’ve not been on the forum for a few days and I end up missing exciting news!

The IID tool is a great bit of kit so I’m in and have contacted Pat Thumbs Up

Howdy Patrick. Is there different functionality in this beta version for different model years, market areas or engines within specific vehicles? I am checking it out on my 2020 Defender, P400 engine w/ US specs. Under "Service Test" for instance, I can only see IPC Instrument Cluster --> Service Interval Reset (no DPF Regen option is visible, as mine is a petrol engine.) None of the other goodies listed above show up on my menu. No RFA, ABS, GWM, etc.

Additionally, while I am able to read/load the CCF, most (all?) values that load appear to be "undefined" or "disabled", even values/features that are definitely enabled in my US spec vehicle, such as Global Windows Open for instance. And, while I can change values in the CCF (e.g. from "Disabled" to "Enabled"), there currently seems to be no way of writing the new CCF to the vehicle. Is that correct or am I missing something? 2020 NAS Defender 110 HSE 5-seater / Silver / Khaki / Black Pack / Black Roof / Satin Film / Cold Pack / Off-Road Pack / Advanced OR Pack / Comfort + Convenience Pack / Sirius + HD radio / HUD / Meridian Surround

HI Pat,

When i say partners, I mean re sellers or European based direct sales. With the dreaded import tax / Customs and then VAT it makes your tool expensive.

I would love to purchase, but at nearly 900 euros with the dreaded tax, it is just too much.
