Compression Test 0psi
I have recently done a compression test, the third cylinder back (I think the order is 1,3,2,4, so cylinder 2?) was reading 0psi.

I will shortly be continuing on with my strip down, however I believe that an inlet valve may be stuck open. There is ‘smoke’ coming from the inlet when cranking for the test. Has anyone come across this before? I can’t find anything online relating to Puma engines and intake valve problems.

I think you may be confusing firing order with position. Generally cylinders are numbered 1 to n (where n is the total number) from front to rear, so on a Puma no.2 cylinder is the one between 1 and 3, second from the front. The fact that it is the third cylinder to fire during a full, four stroke cycle, is irrelevant.

The third cylinder back is cylinder three. The 1324 is the firing order not the cylinder order.
