A big day today
Today I renewed the yearly motor tax on the 1992 200 tdi 110 station wagon. Because she is now 30 years of age, from date of first registration, she could be reclassified as "vintage" with a yearly road tax of €56 or £48. This is down from the usual €1083 or £928. I stand to be corrected, but I think UK is 1982 and older to be tax exempt? Rob

There are lots of grey bits in Uk.
But, in general if it was registered in 1981 or before, from 1st April 2022 you can ask for it to be historic road tax, so nil cost.
So needs to be 40 years old on 1st January, then from 1st April it could be historic tax class.

Yes I believe it is 40 years, (at least it was when I looked for my 1989 110.)
