Smyles_ Cagiva N90 125
Hi all,

Seeing as a certain 130 is taking forever to (not) get built and I've been craving something to spanner on and keep me occupied on the weekends I now have a Cagiva N90 125.

My uncle bought it a few years ago to fix up but he could never be arsed with this one, so now it's my problem Very Happy
It is basically a non-runner and requires a rebuild with some parts needing to be sourced also, although some are shared with other 125's of the period.
I believe it was imported from the land of the rising sun in 2002 and is rather rare in the UK Question Would never know as I'd never heard of the brand until now, apparently they owned Ducati from '85 until '96.

This is what it looked like before it was handed to me:

And how it looked when delivered to me:

(excuse busted fence - landlady owes me a new one...)

The white is not how it left the factory in the late 80s. Should be blue like this:

Nor is the tail light assembly correct, although I do prefer it I must say.

I literally have no idea what I'm doing but I intend to get it back working again over the summer weekends whilst not bobbing about in the North Sea. I have never even ridden a motorbike never mind worked on one so I'm enjoying the learning - any tips or tool recommendations welcome, sparks plugs are a new concept to me!

Stripped it back to just the frame over the Jubilee celebration (not got a photo Mad ) and I'm yet to open the engine or gearbox. Hoping it isn't too fubar and I can get it back in the frame and then start learning fiberglass repairs and painting.

But hopefully one day I can look as sexy as young Edi Orioli here Cool

Two brothers - Castiglioni / did various bike racing, etc from the mid 70's and ultimately owned Ducati and revived its fortunes before selling out to VAG......
They also owned / revived MV Augusta albeit that was also ultimately sold

They have both since passed away

How are Stagshaw getting on with your build Stuart?

I’ve emailed Josh a couple of times to try and sort out a few snags from work I had done but not heard back,

Cheers,
Matt

Looks like a smaller version of the Cagiva Elephant, maybe some parts are interchangeable?

I bought a Cagiva Mito125 new back in the 90’s it was the best 125 on the market Thumbs Up

Cagiva owned Ducati back then Ride like you stole it!!
If I’m not on a bike it’s because only a 4x4 will do…
