Head's off to be skimmed, valves reseated and generally have some tlc, in the meantime I'll start cleaning up abit where the oil got everywhere.

Turners delivery tomorrow but I should have the head back by the weekend ready to get it all back together

I had a piper cross air filter years ago and you had to put oil on it, it was a load rubbish and the difference when i put a K & N filter on was so much better, BUT i have never put any oil on the K & N filter's and find them breath better than the paper one's that i have tried Thumbs Up

This is my opinion and what i have personally found over the years with all my vehicle's Very Happy

It's the oil which traps most of the particles on a K&N.

I gave up on them and reverted to paper element because it protects the engine and the real-world impact on airflow is negligible.

Thanks all, she’s being tested and working brilliantly.

Now that the interior is sorted it’s time for some work to the running gear and she’ll be ready for the long trip
