Yes, very pleased with them and "Stoney Racing" who supplied them. Ordered at 1:30pm and arrived at 9:30am next day simply by Royal Mail 24. The quality good and hose clips quality too. 2010 Defender 90 300Tdi CW (White/1994) 2021 Defender 90 300Tdi SW (Blue/1994) |

decided to do a oil and filters change, and whilst I was doing the fuel filter with the rear wheel off I decided to fit the Gwyn Lewis front of rear tub protectors.
These had been sat in the garage for a couple of years whilst I plucked up the courage to drill the tub, now have a full set protecting all my outriggers Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS, I hope everyone is well and your land rovers make you happy |

FWIW I always keep an old and very worn set of pads on hand which can be fitted if it is ever necessary to extend the pistons in order to prevent them popping all the way out. I actually thought that even if the pistons press against the disk they won't pop out, so I am not entirely sure what has caused yours to stick.

excossack, it could jam by what is called a drawer effect. Since there is not much piston in the bore, the piston could slightly ‘rotate’ and jam in the bore. Try to push it in from different positions around its circumference and see if that does the trick. 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing

Maybe the last pedal push was a push too far!. I did try changing the angle of attack but the piston would not move. It feels like the piston is rocking, but when I am using a crow bar to try and lever the piston back in, I think something is certainly wrong.
Also the bottom piston didnt seem to move or anywhere near the same movement as the top piston Also I think new discs on the front are needed. Deep joys! 1999 Defender TD5 110 Regards John M0VAZ Econet Station 48 no clock |

Well today was MOT day.
Pass! Advisories on brand new wiper blade (seems to be a mnfr fault), and Trackrod end ball joint dust cover on nearside damaged but preventing the ingress of dirt. Are these covers an easy job? Haven't looked at it yet |

That unsupported drop-frame is terrifying and wrong in so many ways! |

Maybe to the untrained eye but I just swap out the top one for the bottom one when using standard ball hitch. Direction of force straight line.

I wasn't really bothered about the untrained eye, I was basing the observation on my eye, which is far from untrained!
As long as you don't use any coupling in the lowest position. I take it that you don't venture into any demanding off-road conditions as a rule? The straightness of the drop frame, step, and cross-member is surprising if you do. |
