Then to show the size... all the toys are in here and the daily's are at the front Smile

So we had a fun evening in the workshop watching a film... Like you do Smile Made a screen out of some old roof membrane.

I'm now studding out a bit in the inside to keep all the tools, junk / stuff out of sight of the rest of the workshop and also so if I'm working in there I can have a small heater.

Its come a long way..... its taken a LOT of effort and time but so worth it Smile One job became 10, raised the level of the garden, built a retaining wall, drainage, sink hole. I've moved many many tonnes of Crush (MOT), pebbles, beams, Sleepers, rebar, Wood etc etc. Worked in all weathers but look outside now and think 'wow' that's ace Smile Thumbs Up

Looks fantastic. Must be really satisfying to see the finished article after all the effort you put in.

Dare I ask. Has the S III marked her patch yet? Embarassed

Very niec. Just needs a beer fridge and a microwave, and you could move in!

Awesome. Can you get a four post lift in there? That would be the ultimate for me.

Occurred to me I haven't updated this for a while,

We have fitted 14 solar panels to the roof, which are brilliant, then soon upgraded this and have 10KW of batteries also now.

Now the weather has changed I'm pretty much off grid, all day running the house and then the batteries keep us going until the next day Smile

All black carbon solar panels

Then someone mentioned a fridge....

Well. My mother-in-law down sizing meant we inherited a fridge, my wife said that can go in workshop...

I didn't want a white 'normal fridge' in the man cave...

So I bought an old petrol pump handle, a vinyl ramp and made a globe for the top Smile

Shocked Love that fridge!! Ideal beer fridge for the garage!

So... you say "free power", but I wonder if you'd be happy sharing ball park figures for the solar and batteries?

I have 3.5kw of solar on FiT, about 10yrs old making me a small fortune. But interested to install some more without FiT and wonder what the pay back would be. I did read PV panels are so cheap now people are using them as fencing panels! Shocked

I'm not convinced batteries are financially viable, from what I understand they'll need replacing before they pay for themselves? James
