Heating oil is hovering around £1.00 per litre, doubled in price this year, Brent crude per barrel has increased 70%, looks like oil companies are ripping off customers more than ever. Jumped ship to reliability - Mitsubishi L200

I put a bet on at Xmas that diesel would be £2L by the summer. Everyone laughed. I’ll put on another bet that it’ll be £5.00L by summer 2029.

Has hit €1.99 here today. That is about £1.65. Any truth in the rumour that Boris is to make everyone change the speedometers over to KMS, to make people think they are going further they they actually are and so using less fuel? 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

£1.55 at our local Sainsbury's today. Had an extra Nector points voucher that needed using by today and as I knew I didn’t need much I so took a Jerry can with me and filled that as well…..
On the way Esso was 1.59 and as I was waiting for a pump to be free the driver came over and said that his wife had filled the school mini bus at a Shell at 1.86 a litre…… A number of pumps were closed due to lack of fuel but I think that more about waiting for the next tanker to arrive, certainly not due to panic buying. The only plus at the present is at least I don’t have a new(ish) vehicle and paying who knows what for a loan AND then having to pay the fuel costs……. Oh and just to cheer people up it has been speculated that the US has been under calculating their inflation figures to show it as approx 6%. If it was calculated correctly it would be approx 16% which is higher than during the oil crisis in the 70’s And as most of our financial institutions are owned in part by Blackrock, who in turn have shares in many well known businesses and media globally we have the potential growing for a massive recession. But hey theres a war on and it’s convenient to hide inconvenient news such as Saudi Arabia flying thirty sorties recently to bomb women and children in Yemen, but it ok because we sell them arms and train their forces…….. Only expect the government to step in to reduce fuel taxes only after the cookie jar is full to overflowing. Then we have to pretend to be grateful…….. |
