As far as Tdi oil leaks go, that doesn’t look too bad at all tbh. Engine looks pretty clean.
The cyclonic separator - the small canister thing in the middle of your pics (apols if you know that already) - would come off by loosening a couple of jubilee clips, and then one longer bolt into the rocker cover. If you took it off you’d get a clearer idea what’s happening in there. It could be that either of the hoses attached to it are leaking. There’s an O ring around the spigot/pipe where the separator fits into the rocker cover - could be gone? Or it could be that there’s a bit of back pressure in the head/rocker cover pushing oil through. But at least with the separator off, you’d see more clearly. Try Googling 2 things - one is the separator itself so that you can see a pic of it, and understand how it slots into the rocker cover (it’s just a bit of plastic, so always a risk of breaking it). Or just order and fit a new one - they’re pretty rubbish anyway. Second thing would be 300Tdi back pressure - you’ll find videos (at least one on here) - showing that if you remove the oil filler cap, and just sit it in place, it might dance about a lot if there’s too much crank pressure coming through into the head. I’d say that’s a lot less likely though. Thanks for the advice. There was a small puddle (2-3inch) on garage floor this morning and followed it up to that area.will get a better look tomorrow. Underneath all dry and in good order so this stood out for me.

Worth looking at these as they do perish. They also normally do not sit underneath the acoustic cover, as they are in the picture, so they may be squashed and split, 5 mins to replace if needed. |

Put a sheet of cardboard under engine last night. Small 2 inch circular puddle this morning. More Photos added from underneath … definitely oil 🤔

Think I have the same issue on my tdi 300 - I have a very small drip - literally 2 drips when turning the engine off after a long drive, mine is the seal on the transfer box - very easy to sort but a nightmare to get at so not worth doing.
Yours looks similar - be pleased its a small drip as Ive seen tai's with multiple heavy oil leaks all over. |

Also worth a look at the lft pump.
Mine leaks onto the block and it then runs down to the gearbox. On short trips, 2 or 3 km, it will drip on the floor but not on longer trips. Heat must have some kind of effect. |

Top of the engine could be the top cover gasket. Very easy fix.
Last picture shows some oil coming out from the belhousing wading plug hole. Judging by the colour, it looks like engine oil (gearbos input shaft leak can show through there too).
