On one of my many US roadtrips a few years ago I found myself driving across Kansas and Nebraska. It was amazing seeing the number of old tractors beautifully restored and on display on people's front lawns. I never had an interest in them until I saw these and stopped every time for a look and take photos.

What a lovely photo Camelman.
However, whilst I have a Grey Fergie and an MF565, I prefer the "best" classic tractor of them all. Have spent today topping the paddocks with the Ford 5000: Click image to enlarge I just wish I could take artistic photos! |

My late uncle got his hands on one of these well over 20 years ago, my auntie was going to use it to plow their fields. They had bought the hardware from my dads work place, for it. As i remember the tractor needed a few odds and sods to get it running again, not sure if they ever did get the tractor running again. They ended up going into the storage business and converted their barns into units, and did some extension work to the house. Sadly we never really got the chance to go back down, my dad was on the fence to go down, again.
