We also still have and use a MF 35. Maintenance was neglected the last few years, so recently it got some extra care and attention. I don't have an updated picture, but it looks much better now. And off course it does not need a tow anymore Wink

On one of my many US roadtrips a few years ago I found myself driving across Kansas and Nebraska. It was amazing seeing the number of old tractors beautifully restored and on display on people's front lawns. I never had an interest in them until I saw these and stopped every time for a look and take photos.

What a lovely photo Camelman. Thumbs Up

However, whilst I have a Grey Fergie and an MF565, I prefer the "best" classic tractor of them all. Wink

Have spent today topping the paddocks with the Ford 5000:

My late uncle got his hands on one of these well over 20 years ago, my auntie was going to use it to plow their fields. They had bought the hardware from my dads work place, for it. As i remember the tractor needed a few odds and sods to get it running again, not sure if they ever did get the tractor running again. They ended up going into the storage business and converted their barns into units, and did some extension work to the house. Sadly we never really got the chance to go back down, my dad was on the fence to go down, again. ( that's another story) Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

As she's not going to be the shiniest red toy in the box for much longer, thought I'd give the old girl some tlc.

Not looking bad for 60 and started first turn of the key after sitting under a tarp for 6 months!

I couldn't agree more with you Slideywindows as in my younger days when i use to work for an agriculture contractor, my tractor was a Ford 5000 and used it for bringing in the silage, O what great days they were Cool 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up.

Muck Spreading every couple of weeks, harrowing, rolling etc.
Now I have a preheater plumbed in it starts on the button - even on very cold mornings (which are best for muck spreading anyway!)
