3rd row seat belt points
I have 2007 2.4 TDCI CSW. I'm slowly working things out, only had it since Saturday.

It has 7 seats the 3rd row seats were refitted prior to sale, the seat belts for these seats have never been installed. It failed an MOT a few years ago for having the seats without any seatbelts and since then they were removed. I'm keen to have the ability to carry more passengers and would like to get the seatbelts installed prior to the next MOT.

I have fitted the drivers side seatbelt and bracket but don't see where the end of the seatbelt bolts onto as an anchor point. Not sure if it needs to be fitted via a spreader plate through the body like the 2nd row seats or whether it has a fixing point hidden somewhere?

Does anyone have a photograph of the seatbelts fitted in the 3rd row. I've found workshop drawings but it doesn't show where the bolt goes specifically. Other pictures from Exmoor Trim etc just show the seats fitted without any seatbelts (they are advertising the trim to be fair)

Cheers

Craig

Hi Craig

Photos of my passenger side 3rd row seat belt fixing. I haven't got one of the reel behind the plastic panel sorry but assume you are asking about the fixing onto the inner wing. Car is 2013 2.2 TDCi.

piechipsandpeas thank you Bow down
I've managed to get the seatbelt reel fitted on the bracket behind the trim, it's where the other end of the seatbelt anchors to on the body I was unsure about.

Thanks jmccoy55555, do they come with fitting instructions?, assume the seat belt attaches to the upright the two parallel plates are confusing me though would they not restrict access to tighten the bolt?

I found this diagram online looks like there are potentially 2 fitting kits for the seat belt.

I have 2 indents in the wheel arch below the rear seats that seem to be guide holes in a similar position to the picture above from piechipsandpeas.

Would this work?

I think bolt 7 would go through the tub into the bracket that I referenced that is in turn attached to the chassis. There's also a second bolt which I think just bolts straight through to stop any movement. This ties up with the pictures from piechipsandpeas.

I did come across that plate at some point when I was looking. I think it may be for the side facing seat lap belts.

Thanks again that makes sense now looking at piechipsandpeas' picture under the wheel arch. I can see how it fits together now.

I thought the end of the seatbelt attached to the end of the bracket Embarassed

That looks like a much more robust solution than the simple spreader plate which as you say is probably for lap belts. I don't want to mess this up and do it wrong when my children are going to be sitting in them.

Im doing the same job now on my Puma 2007.

This is what my underneath looks like. I guess I need that bracket to give the anchor any kind of strength. Strange you need purchase additional supports (£100 each), when these seats are a standard option.

I didn't, for the MOT I removed the seats so it didn't fail due to lack of seatbelts.

I'm enjoying the extra load space without the seats.
They are currently sitting wrapped in a sheet in my garage.
Not sure if selling them or keeping them in case it hinders the resell value.
Would agree that it seems bizarre they weren't fitted as standard. My V5 does say 5 seats though? Craig.
