Looking much better at the front with that on. Great to see other colour options too.

I wonder what that bull bar is made of?
I thought rigid bull bars were banned on new vehicles some years ago? |

It’s a winch mount by the looks of it not a bumper, isn’t that the difference?

Prototype vehicles are allowed to get away with all sorts of things and it's possible that it's not intended for the European market. Aus, perhaps? Darren

If you look closely at the vehicle with the bull/roo bars the bumper seems smaller and the air intakes larger, compare it with other images of bumper ends and the reflector even though it has gaffer tape on is different .You can also see the winch fairlead and the raised bar to clear the air spool on RED winches looking good so far .I wonder if the bumper on the grey one is AUS spec? What do you all think.

had read somewhere that the bumper we have been seeing so far is actually US spec... slow speed impact compliant one.
Not sure how true that is but fingers crossed the EU bumper is like the bullbar model without the bars. You can fit a bull bar to a UK car as long as its got a winch in it I believe as mentioned above... would be great up here as the roe deer are pretty suicidial at 4am in summer when I am often out and about. |

It does look a lot better (and also more like a defender) with the bull bar on.
The nose/front has always been rather off-putting for me, but if a bumper (sorry, winch mount ) like that is available, then I think it's a much more likely proposition. |

I’ve just had an email to say I’ll be able to reserve one for £450 on 30th September. I think that’s fully refundable, but will await the small print. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

The mail does say that the £450 deposit is fully refundable and just gets you to the front of the queue when order books open in early 2022. So probably worth a punt pending firmer info on pricing and what the after sales model will look like? Keep it simple - poverty spec.

Yes it is refundable. I got this 30th September Reservations Open Some good news: your reservation window is finally opening up. And because you’ve been following the journey so closely, your window is two weeks before the general public’s. So mark it down: Thursday September 30th. We’ll send you a unique code on the day, which you’ll need to access the reservation form on the official Grenadier website. Once you’ve made your fully refundable EUR 450 reservation fee, you’ll be at the front of the queue when the ordering window opens in early 2022. That puts you in pole position to own one of the first Grenadiers ever built." Don't know if I'd want one of the first ones built. Maybe best to wait a while until teething issues have been ironed out. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel 1992 110 200tdi csw -Zikali 2008 110 2.4 tdci csw-Zulu 2011 110 2.4 tdci csw-Masai |
