What have I done today? Finished fitting the LOF uprated output shaft and nailing everything back together, replaced a few oil seals, fitted a set of spring isolators and replaced the handbrake shoes. We are then going to get her out of dry dock and run acceptance trails and once these are done she's off to the fitting out basin for a few interior bits before returning to the fleet for a new commission. Oh woe, oh woe

Busy few days! Fitted a new ORE wheel carrier and replaced the old, scabby steel wheel and ancient tyre with a new matching alloy & BFG tyre.
Also took out the front headlining, covered it, and put it back in. Not decided what I'll do about the sun visors yet though. Also added ClimAir wind deflectors. Definitely the easiest Defender job I've ever done so far! Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge ‘08 Defender 90 Hardtop |

Yeah, carrier is decent. Really good quality. I've had to retighten it, but think that's normal after it settles in after a few miles. It's a doddle to fit too, even for someone like me! ‘08 Defender 90 Hardtop

Tried to change panhard rod, but found out at sometime in the past think bolt was put in reversed so need to lift body off axel then somehow raise axel to allow sufficent movement to get the bolt out, from what I can see, or plan b cut it off Searching for my first Defender...and started just as Covid hit, so talk about timing.
5 months after starting the search I found it, and here is the details |

What started off as just replacing a faulty headligh bulb, soon changed into replacing the headlight connector.
Luckily, I had a spare chinese headlight loom I purchased many moons ago so I cut off the plugs leaving a 150mm of wire and soldered onto the exist 110 loom and covered in heat shrink. Time to locate a new H4 3 pin connector. 1999 Defender TD5 110 Regards John M0VAZ Econet Station 48 no clock |

This. Delayed over a year by the changes in lifestyle and travelling patterns resulting from Covid.

Took this years apple crop to be pressed and pasteurised.
The crop is well down on last year so we will wait to see how many bottles of juice it produces🙁 Click image to enlarge |
