Saturday was another day of rust treatment using RC900
Sunday was a trip to Babell for the Staffordshire Land Rover off racing event. Tool the opportunity to add another layer of RC900 while the 110 was parked up in the sun. Monday was a bit of chassis painting Tuesday tip run and last of the chassis painting using Corroless paint. Chassis looks much better. Also painted front bumper and rear x-member to remove/treat some chips. 1999 Defender TD5 110 Regards John M0VAZ Econet Station 48 no clock |

Big day for me yesterday, I ordered my first mod for my defender, and I haven't even bought it home yet!
Don't get too excited though... It's a phone holder that replaces the ashtray on the dash |

Reminds me of buying my first defender mods 2 years in advance to actually ever purchasing one. Was a Dixon Bate NATO hitch off eBay followed by a genuine wolf front grille months later.
My parents thought I was mad, but I knew of buy one eventually, just couldn't pass up on prices I paid for them Stuart Cummins 130 Build Thread 58 130 Double Cab HCPU - Cairns Blue 04 110 Double Cab - Black (gone) 07 Audi RS4 Avant - Silver |

Fixed an annoying rattle in the drivers door. Turned out a couple of the 10mm nuts that hold one of the inner metal panels/window slider mechanism has come lose.
Took the opportunity to also spray some wd40(its all I had) on the door lock mechanism A quick check of oils and water. Some WD40 on the winch wire and hook Adjusted the steering wheel one spline anti-clock wise to hopefully put it back level when travelling straight. 1999 Defender TD5 110 Regards John M0VAZ Econet Station 48 no clock |

Lovely looking motor you have there, Ive just recieved my wind deflectors and got the drivers side slided in and fitted okat but the passenger side is very very tight the outer plastic seal which goes against the glass is very tight and I can get the top part of the deflector all the way up into the gap Im pushing the deflector up as Im stood on my side rail to stop me pushing the full door up on the hinge! Any fitting tips? |

Quick bimble down to the local lake for a coffee and butty on sunday morning. love this thing, it occupies pretty much all my 'fun' driving these days. As for what ive done with it this week..... well ive been tweaking the fuel injection tuning.
