Yes is the short answer…..

However, the advantage is that if if was not done over the air, all the current owners would have to wait until their first service at two years / 22k (I think) miles

This is assuming that Local dealer does not get the car in first for warrantee work……… Whistle

It is pleasing and reassuring to see that the updates do work and fix faults and problems. My car is driving better since the latest update the throttle response is better. There is the argument that none of these problems should of been there to start with but at least SOTA is working and resolving albeit at a frustratingly slow pace if you look back at when I first reported the faults to JLR.

Well after 5 or 6 goes the software updated.

Just took it for a drive and the Diff Screens (dash and pivi) still show different information and the ECO screem middle number is still 1 and does not change.

Rolling Eyes Sad

Yes just tried both 4x4i screens the pivi screen doesn’t mirror the driver display when rear differential is locking the pivi screen show’s unlocked. I can live with that atm and have faith it will get sorted through a later software update.

I don’t know if it will make a difference but there is a setting “mirror drivers display” 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

It’s in SETTINGS - APPS - NAVIGATION - DRIVER DISPLAY

I think it’s just for navigation.

My Pivi screen and drivers display both show the same info regarding the diff but there is a delay on the drivers display, it’s a second or two behind the pivi screen. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

OK - so a third software OTA update in the last month - and this latest update has fixed the sync and display issues with the Diff's between the tile / dash / main screen. this one has an 'a' at the end.

It is surprising how often the rear / centre diff locks or partially locks - basically any modest acceleration sees at least a partial lock of one or both diffs and hard acceleration sees both partial / fully locked on a dry road.

one down - just the ECO missing centre display issue left as far as I can tell.

Thumbs Up

Then the new rattle that sounds like its coming from the screen vibrating at the top - which is probably the A pillars - despite the pillars being the newer style - (as far as I can tell) L8B2-025A53BD8PAB loose cover and l8B2-03179-AD fixed part.

5 months in and it’s showing it’s first warning.

Switched it off and back on again and so far hasn’t reappeared. Will book it in next month. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

I had this come up on Saturday when on the LR Experience trek day at Dunkeld.

The instructors there weren’t concerned about it and see it on their vehicles. Apparently it is normally caused by overheating and will resolve itself pretty quickly.

Now I’m not sure what the lower radiator on the 6 cylinder engines is for (bottom right when looking face on) but mine was filled with crap after wading in the pond at Dunkeld. I wonder if it somehow contributes to cooling of the diff?

When it appeared on mine it was whenever I drove over multiple pot holes or a rough surface. Dealership did a software update to fix and it’s never been back since.

They are probably not concerned because they don't own the vehicles, the vehicles are under warranty and they are swapped out regularly.

Then ask yourself why are the clutch packs overheating and medium/long term what's that doing to the components and ultimately your pocket if you pay the bills?

I think it’s software rather than overheating, I hadn’t driven mine any distance or off road for it to overheat. A quick switch off/on cured it so far. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

There may well be more than one failure path and both are correct, just under different circumstances.
