Automec brake lines
Good morning 🌞

Has anyone installed the automec brake line kit ?

https://automec.co.uk/products/brake-pipe-...8731832337

The link is for a 2001 Defender….mines 2012. I checked with Automec…they don’t seem to be sure if it will fit Rolling Eyes

Thank you !!

Do these come ready formed or do you bend them to shape? > 110 XS Double Cab

I have their 'generic kit' in the garage which is coiled up ready to form. I'd be interested to hear how the pre-built kits come myself. 2005 Td5 90 XS

Automec state they are formed and ready to fit the 110.

I’m no sure anyone here as tried it…I need to upgrade mine as it’s close to MOT failure.

That's great. Mine had a replacement set done by a garage which are a tad messy.

I don't think a TD5 set will fit TDCi however. At least that's what Pioneer advised when I enquired about the suitability of their TD5 replacement kit for my TDCi. If I remember correctly the reason was possibly to do with the ABS module > 110 XS Double Cab

I ordered their kit about 5 years ago and pipes are still good. I think a couple of the pipes were a bit long(mainly axle) but all ends fitted and found them well made. I would use them again. 1999 Defender TD5 110

Of course - they arrive in a 4.5M box 😉😉😉😉

They come in the right lengths with correct fittings on both ends. You have to unfurl them, straighten and then bend to shape to fit.
