There’s no fuel burning heater on my diesel, I don’t think it’s there unless specified.

The wildest is that P400e has both Webasto (fuel heater with separate keyfob) and engine block heater (230v electric via inverter from main drive battery) from the factory Whistle MY22 Defender 110 P400e S

I have been told by LD dealer as well as LD customer service tech department that all 2 and 3l diesel come with FBH as standard, it kicks in when the outside temperature is below 5c to speed up the heating of the engine coolant. I also took my 3l D200 to a friend of mine who is AA engineer and he also confirms that FBH fitted.

For 1k you can spec a remote key fob and activation for existing FBH which will allow you to preheat the car remotely (with the key fob) using your auxiliary heater rather than the main engine.

Judging by the answers on this thread, there is no definitive answer as to if all diesels have the FBH as standard or not then.

I get that the £1k buys you the remote option to use FBH, (and I've spec'd that in my build), but was just curious if the heater was present on all diesels whether the remote option is spec'd or not. Defender 90 HSE 250D 2022MY - Gave up after two failed orders

My 2020 D240 doesn’t have the FBH but uses the remote start to start the engine to warm the cabin and all New Defenders have that system unless you live in a market where a separate engine block heater or Webasto type FBH as fitted to L320 RRS and D3 way back when, is offered as standard (IIRC Scandinavia and Canada get both those heaters either as standard or optional, petrol or diesel. Also the block heater is electrically powered) Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed!
