Corroded/melted terminal leading to glow plugs
This is my 2.4 Puma 110 Commercial that, amazingly, starts first time every time! Hopefully these pics demonstrate a somewhat(!) corroded and semi-melted junction with a wire in at the bottom and out at the top, and it looks to me like it won't be a reliable starter for long.

I'm presuming that the nut holding the spade connector won't budge and may need grinding off. If I then replace the spade connector, does anyone know if replacement blocks are available to reconnect please?

My 2.2 Puma and TD5 have different set-ups for the glow plugs, so I've nothing obvious to work from, and I'm a relative novice so will be grateful for advice

Soak it in WD40 or similar product for a few days, give it a few taps to break the rust seal and it may come off. If not try a bit heat (if safely away from fuel etc) to expand the metal slightly. Jeff

Brown and blue 6mm wire between C3355 ------------------------ C1039-1 plug at rear engine looks badly damage and will need to be replead or replaced-------------- red Red 6mm wire that go from C3355 to your glow plug may also need replacing-------LR004840
Glow plug wiring harness and has the terminal post with it





Good idea inspect engine wiring loom heat damage as glow wire has got hot enough melt wiring insulation

Does anyone know where I can source part YPG10012 please?
"C3355 is a tin plated, eyelet connector with up to 1 wired pins. The connector's location is LH side of engine. Its part of the Engine Harness loom and its part number is YPG10012. This connector was used in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 models of Defender"

Lrparts.net have the harness LR004840 and screws LR004500
