United Kingdom 2013 Defender 110 V8 Petrol XS CSW Auto Orkney Grey
I have seen my first L663 V8 Defender today, it was a white 90 and I was near JLR in Whitley, at first, I didn't realise it was a V8 until it passed me and I saw the quad exhausts and heard the V8 rumble, it seemed very quiet compared to a SVR though, no pics, sorry Neutral

It won’t be as loud as the SVR no new cars are loud anymore, something to do with new regulations. The Audi RS cars are the same all sound muted compared to past models. I think the V8 defender amplifies the sound through the audio speaker system to give it more grunt inside.

Wow I have 3rd September for my build date. Do you have a copy of your vista form? On mine there is a note that says "LESS Pre-Volum Build Phase"

I wonder if they are doing two phases and your in the first batch?

Will Land Rover ever update the configurator to include the V8 or are they going to let all orders go firm before we get chance to see what we are ordering ???

I am told they are flat out building them, but no media test vehicles available yet. So no road tests. What a shame.

There’s a post going round on FB group from a JLR dealership stating no V8’s orders are getting delivered this year.

There are V8s that were production stock, being sent to dealers that were pre ordered by Land Rover. These are the ones that are showing up in July and I think are all Yulong. The most recent one I saw had a delivery of early July and that was as of two weeks ago.

The idea of none of them being delivered to 2023 seems crazy.

There are cars in build it seems (USA was mentioned), and as you would guess it is the most profit laden Defender, they will trying to get them out the door. I was told July build , but now it's not so clear, I do not expect to see it in July now. They are obviously struggling like everyone with the chip shortages. Dealers don't know themselves, so who knows the truth. The only easy thing for the UK cars is that there are really no options choices apart from the display screen size and on the V8 some colours. I just want to see a road test .
