I did indeed, used to annoy them over there every now and again. Mostly on D3 forum, for my sins.

They get away with it in the uk because they somewhat compete in their own niche. For many only a Land Rover will do.
I accept they compare in a different market to Toyota or Mazda but their deals are pretty terrible compared to the big three Germans. Poor discount, poor Apr and poor final values. Poor customer service too. Still, I'm not helping matters by insisting on a lr for my next car. I am part of the problem lol... |

£1.14 per mile seems off the mark a bit.

Usual 48 month 6k miles type rubbish on those headline offers.

Lockdown mileage per year. Maybe they know something we don’t.

Not sure how things are in the UK vs Oz..
Here I was able to get about 5% off MSRP, 5 year servicing included and a 5 year warranty. Also a dealer special term in the contract that all parts/accessories that I choose to buy from their parts department will be sold to me at dealer cost. There were a few dealers who actually agreed to those terms, just came down to who was cheapest (and honestly nicest to deal with). Not sure about my status in the waiting game as I got a HSE 110. |

Is that just for initial delivery or will it cover all parts over the lifetime you have the vehicle? |

It really annoys me that we only get a 3 year warranty in the UK.
I contacted Land Rover when I was working in the Middle East and asked why the standard warranty there was 5 years compared to the 3 year UK one. Their answer was that customers in the UK didn’t want a 5 year warranty....... Jim |

These are the exact terms I submitted for the contract: “Parts and Accessories” means Parts and Accessories which customer may choose to purchase from time to time, to be sold at dealer cost plus applicable Goods and Services Tax, but not including the installation or removal labour costs of such items. There shall be no obligation for customer to have such Parts and Accessories installed, serviced or maintained by Dealer. This term shall survive for the duration of ownership by the original purchaser of the vehicle. The dealer shall not unreasonably refuse the sale of such Parts and Accessories. Definitions for this section: Dealer cost means the wholesale cost for a part as listed in the manufacturer’s, importer’s or distributor’s current price schedules or, if the part is not so listed, the dealer’s original invoice cost for the part. Parts and Accessories means any item sold by Dealer that is not a motor vehicle, but which may include, but is not limited to replacement parts, accessories and maintenance products. |

I have just had a chat with a chap from Marshall’s Military Sales.
So a D250 HSE is £56,438. With a £10,000 deposit, working on 10,000 miles per year over 49 months the payment is £427 per month. He wants me to spec a vehicle up using the LR configurator and he will e mail me across an exact illustration. How does that sound? Jim |
