Wheel spacers for Penman
Perhaps a bit of an error on my part but it would be good to get it confirmed.

I've got a Penman trailer with the standard wolf wheels which I understand are 16 v 6.5 ET20. In order to get a slightly greater spacing between the wheel for a new body I had planned to put a set of spacers on creating an extra 60mm.

Having brushed the snow off the trailer, jacked it up and taken off a wheel I've run into a bit of a problem as the spacers wont fit over the hub on the trailer (they have too narrow a bore in the centre of the spacer). Just for clarity internet sourced image of the spacers I have.

Have I simply bought the wrong type of spacer or am I going to find that the Penman hub is going to create this problem with every type of spacer?

Thanks Keith

Keith,
Thanks for the PM I did reply Update...
what is the diameter of the center section of the spacer ? (i havent got mine to check right now)
I have queried this on the FB penman page and one person uses the Bulldog spacer which are supplied either as 99mm or 115 mm diameter.

It would be a relatively simple job to machine the spacers to fit the hub.

The spacers have an ID of 113mm and the flange has an OD of 115mm

Looks like I'm off to find a local engineering firm to machine down the internal diameter of the spacer Keith

Er, machine UP the internal diameter of the spacer (or machine down the hub)!
