That question is answered in my spreadsheet
![]() So at the 110 S spec you can have the 3.0 D200 or D250 - the Petrol P300 is only 2.0 - theres approx £3K premium on D250/P300 over the D200 The premium on the S (over the base) is approx £4K Wheels (i.e. going beyond 18" steelies to 19" alloys) seem to make up £1600 of that The other £2400 is made up from Auto High Beam Assist, Centre Console, Leather Gearshift, 4 more ways to move front seats (12 vs ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Stranger things have happened
![]() There’s a nice Green one similar spec for £47k, it’s in Edinburgh though. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue |

Saw that one but it’s gone from Auto Trader.
PS Just found it on the website but it’s a 2.0, not the 3.0 I was thinking about. All gets too complicated. ![]() |

Interesting!! I asked the dealer if he had a spreadsheet of specs earlier this week as I found that easier for comparison when ordering my D5. He said they don't do the spreadsheets anymore. Is this a 2021MY spreadsheet? |

Yes - I bl**dy trawled the Build configurator at each of the Base, S and SE spec's - didn't finish HSE and X (out of my price range) Steve N | 21MY Defender ![]() ![]() ![]() |

![]() The configurator is a clever piece of work isn't it at encouraging you to spend just a little more. I don't want all the options that come with the SE but it's the only option with the D300 engine. |

I purposely didn't go for the SE because it had adaptive cruise. I have it on my VW and it drives me insane. The S had everything I'd need and several things I want, but nothing I would never use. |

I think the S with premium LED headlamps makes a lot of sense. I prefer the smaller alloys on a Defender and they (like a lot of options) are expensive on their own for the purpose of justifying the additional cost of the SE/HSE. Shame you can't have a D300 S...

Problem with the S, in D250 guise, is once you tick a few boxes (winter pack, lights, priv glass, metallic, black roof etc) you start to get not too far from FE money.

Whilst that is true, choosing an S allowed me to spend the extra on things I actually wanted (signature headlights, Meridian stereo, privacy glass).
And the 18" steel wheels were a deal breaker for me. They look so good. A utilitarian vehicle with low profile alloy wheels doesn't work for me. |
