Flexi brake pipe direct to calliper Pros cons
I know this mod does away with the bendy breakable pipe but are there an advantages cheers Chris

One less join

Caliper comes off easier for hub work.

Ran comp vehicles with this setup for 8 years. Now run my training vehicles like this. Cheers

Did not know this can be done! Mine had an advisory last MOT that this pipe is corroded so needs attention before next MOT. Are there any cons to running them like this? Is the flexi fitting a direct fit to caliper? > 110 XS Double Cab

Make sure it is not stretched on full lock and fully extended Roel

Check also that the flexi hose cannot rub on the rim or tyre under any combination of lock and suspension flex.

There is a reason that LR didn't go straight to the caliper!

Having been tinkering with LR Defenders for a while now I truly think people give Land Rover way too much credit regarding their engineering. A lot of it seems to have been just scavenging for left over bits.

On topic: Will convert mine to flex lines.

Pioneer also does a flexi pipe that replaces the copper one if wanting to keep the OE style set up.
