Denso VCV
Hi

I have a Britpart OEM VCV (LR009837) and am trying to determine from the actual markings on the valve if it is really a genuine Denso item.

Can anyone look at a genuine Denso item and compare?

When I got mine from PF Jones it came in a Nissan Genuine parts sealed packet.

Definitely the correct part and has been great.

Not quite what you asked I know.
You also can just fit and donโ€™t need any programming, again I did this and all has been great since. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R

In 2017 I swapped the original LR one (right) against a Denso SCV 294009-0260 (left):

Numbers on the Denso: "0360 17M20 304054", the LR one I can't decipher any more, also starts with "0360". I'd wager yours is an actual Denso VCV.

As far as I understand it you can skip the learning, the ECU will learn over time while driving. The pilot learn should speed up the process but isn't necessary.

I used a Nanocom for the learning procedure but am not very sure it worked as advertised back then.

I fitted the VCV as per my picture and did the calibration of VCV and Pilot Correction Learning Procedure with the Tune removed. Then reflashed the tune.

Without the tune it did not have black smoke but had less power.

It started with less jumpy idle but still black smoke on full throttle. It has a BAS Remap, snorkel with nugget stuff intake, larger free flow intercooler and relatively new injectors. Any ideas how to reduce the black smoke other than remove the tune? 1995 300tdi Defender 90 P/UP
