ABS Pump ?
When I start my 2008 110 there is a crunch when I coming from the behind brake pedal effectively, i have been told that its the ABS pump which is normal so just checking ?.

Ditto. Same model year. If you start it with your foot on the brake pedal you can feel the pump operate.

Thanks both, gives me a bit more comfort and yes I can feel if i press the brake pedal when starting.
