Unfortunately it isn't really possible as you will need to remove the part ( shown in green ) which hits the locking pin ( in blue ). The part in green is also the locking cam itself. So you'll have to find another way to nap
 Click image to enlarge I began work on extending the bull bar to run along the wings and down the rock sliders. The bull bar is very solidly mounted through the chassis using the bumper bolts as well as through the bumper itself. I beefed up the bumper with 3mm steel plates on the bottoms and horizintally inside it to gain some strength and i wanted to continue this with additional bars. If hitting anything head on, the bullbar weight is pivoted on the end of the chassis, which it's designed to do, however i wanted to give it a little more help. The bars are just tacked together at the moment, i'll weld them up properly when the saddles arrive I'm also considering adding a step to the right angle section near the bulkhead to assist in climbing up onto the wings and bonnet. |

Versions of these in Aus, where animal strikes are obviously the big concern, tend to have more of an angle on the rear part that goes down to the cill. I believe that this is to better resist an impact. Your vertical bar and 90 degree bend may therefore be less effective. This is particularly so as it's attached much higher up on the bulbar, effectively making for longer 'levers'.

I did consider what you have said last night and today and have given some thought to add a diagonal brace which will strengthen the right angle.
The design you have shown is much better at taking impact but any bar is only as strong as the bolts holding it onto the rock slider which will fail before the bar does. |

no problems with insurance change at the moment other than the roof which is an on going saga

I just wondered adding all that metalwork might make most insurance companies to breakout in a cold sweat

Insurance companies will give excuses for anything rather than part with money.
You have to have an answer for any questions they may have. |

Have to say A plan have been great to deal with when arranging my insurance but you can never tell how good with any insurance company until you need to claim. 2015 HT XS 90

Added a step to assist in getting onto the bonnet using some bends from a bongo seat base
Cut it up and welded into position

The interior is coming along nicely although you'll have to wait for pics as it's not finished yet
I've swapped the wheels over for a much more suitable 7.50 x 16 tubed set up. The truck doesn't have the aggresive stance it once had with the Insta's on, but function over form is the mantra for the build. The Thermo top for the engine pre heat is still on the cards to install and as i had a spare webasto and bits, i opted for an external independant shower and heater set up for the rear. I forget to post quite slot as it takes up quite a considerable amount of time to work it all out. The kitchen area has been on hold for weeks whilst I get everything else positioned. Always need to think 3 steps ahead so as not to find out you must rip something out to finish it |

Currently fitting the aux tank ( waiting on no rain and a light evening...might have to be april time at this rate
) but in the meantime fitted the Provent.
When i removed the AC system it left a nice spot to fit the Provent, although i will update the bolts with allen heads and locking nuts on the back, it's all i had tonight. Pipe is 25mm clear so i get to see if it's doing it's job on the outlet
Click image to enlarge I've soaked the EGR valve bolts in penetrating oil as they are rusted to hell, hopefulyl i can get them off tomorrow to blank it off. Silicone pipes for the intercooler arrived today too, £40 for a pair, cheaper than standard ( link - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SILICONE-ENGINE...2749.l2649 ) Waiting on 100mm 2ply ducting for the airbox inlet idea as well as the new airfilter, intercooler, fuel lines and breather extention pipes for the main tank. If you're lucky i'll have some more pictures over the weekend |
