Agree wholeheartedly...I'm sure SWMBO would like one for shopping trips... Defender "Puma" 2.4 110 County Utility (possibly the last of the 2.4's) |

Well i hate it
No style or personality of it's own, all models blending into one almost identical look now [just like other marques] Guns and Landrovers .... anything else is irrelevant. |

The sides are ok, the front looks like a Mitsubishi and the rear with the tyre clamp a Jeep and the roof line a retro Toyota. Each LR looks unique this looks like a sum of others.

Could you refine the poll to ask
"Do you like the DC100.... Yes, from the side, but the front looks like a dog's dinner No, it's just revolting" Then I can respond |

So this is the new defender
Base spec Freelander 1 with an aftermarket winch and a couple of towing eyes? LR would have been better off tweaking the existing style and making it so that it didn't rot/leak/rust etc. Mrs Beckham didn't have something to do with this as well did she |

I don't dislike it, BUT it is not a Defender. Would be happy for the wife to drive/own it, but not for me.

i just wonder if they can re-build a Landy that comes close to the defender design, i doubt it, otherwise they would not have to change it.
Now that they have come up with the 2012 2,2 and the emissions seems to be in order with EU regulations, why can't they just mess about with the TD4 and put some airbags inside. I know that the building process seems to be very expensive for LR but if you up all the customers you might just as well give up. I also wonder what's going to happen to all the suppliers who sell stuff for Land Rovers, (the magazines are full of them) they will have to redesign everything. I'm just thinking here that maybe the defender customer is not that big a deal for LR they seem to sell the rest pretty well. Range Rover, Freelanders, Disco's LANDROVER Defender Best 4 x 4 x Far Defender TD4 90 Hardtop 2.4 Defender TD4 110 Hardtop 2.2 |
