There is a line in the Haynes manual that says “remove the fuel tank vent pipe from the left rear of the vehicle”. I can’t find anything there!

cut a neat hole in the rear floor - I think Danielle Gardel did a write up on it for a 90, I did it on my 110, silicone a plate over when done.

Completely the last resort!! Would much rather leave the floor intact.

I went for the YRM replacement guard - this makes it easy in that you cut the corners off the old guard which allows it to be dropped pretty much straight down.

I placed some wooden chocks under the tank to support it whilst I had enough room to swap the breather over. It's easy with the YRM guard as it installs from underneath - I have posted a link which might help?. To raise it back up I used a small jack and a piece of ply to raise it up and jiggle it back into the correct position. I take it that you have disconnected the ARB from the underside?. Rgds. Chris |

Cheers. Just spoke to them, off to pick one up now. Did you bother painting it?

90 and 110 tanks can both come out the bottom, i have done quite a few of each. They just require a good pry bar at times and use of jack to support weight whilst you manoeuvre it. I have always removed tank and refitted the original guard. Yes its a pain but its doable. The tank is pretty robust. Cheers

Tanks is out. Is the vent in the right orientation? It was sandwiched down the side with the open end down.

You mean the small breather Col?
If so mine ran across the top of the tank to the N/S rear wheel arch and was tucked into the gap between the top of the crossmember and the floor - hooked end laid flat. Rgds. Chris |

Yep, sorry. Forgot to post the pic. It looks like this where the leak is coming from, seems like a crappy design. Was going to reroute it higher up the breather behind the flap to the rear lights.

Looks like it has been cut down at some point - there was enough tube on mine from the tank to the non-return valve so it sat where you are suggesting. Rgds.
