Wooden,
Basically a huge shed only thicker and a tad bigger 6m wide by 12m long.... first peal back cut in the garden... Click image to enlarge Someone mentioned stumps.... I had the ones at the side removed with a stump grinder, but we had 3 at the back..... quite large !!! which we had to try and remove.... Click image to enlarge This gives you an idea of size, so removing 3 took quite a while !!! Click image to enlarge very handy that the guy I chose to help me do the digging drives a Landrover !!! I hope the new workshop is tall enough for your forthcoming car lift...? Every home should have one!

^ it will not be.... due to planning I can only go up 4m.
With the span of the building the best we think we can get is around 800mm to 1000mm to jack up the car at one point in the garage. Using a stepped up joist / beam. to be honest that's better than what I had by 100% so will make getting under it easier anyway |

Do a Si Rafferty and bolt the garage to the lift so when you need it the shed goes up with the lift and still keeps you dry. Ed

No lift... is there opportunity to dig a pit before the new concrete is laid?

I will get a small lift it just will not go up very high
Did think about a pit but the extra time, effort to build that. I've enough on at the moment. |

Is the side of the garage on the side of your boundary as it should be clear by 1M to fall under PD requirement?

Well not so much a shed but Si did make a carport to enclose his lift next to the shed at home. In everyday use his vehicles could be parked undercover and if he wanted to work on them the carport went up with it so even if it rained he could stay dry underneath. Ed
