No pictures Max, or any indication (ha!) of the age of vehicle that you're repairing but I'm guessing that one has the earlier bullet type connectors and the other blade connectors? Whilst it wouldn't be impossible to make an adapter (I don't know of anything off the shelf), it would be far easier to just buy the correct part. Space inside the steering column trim is very limited.

Thanks Darren.
Yeah I feel that is probably what I'll end up doing. Just thought I'd put out a last ditch attempt to save me ordering another part haha, thanks anyway! |

if you dont want to swap the one you have already have then do you have the old stalk still?
If so you could cut the connector off the old stalk and off the new stalk and solder the old connector wires onto the new stalk. Steve 02' 110 TD5 Double Cab Rebuild Thread |

If you cut off the connector and ~4 inches of cable from your old stalk I can make it into an adapter for you.

Hi Steve,
Yes I still have the old stalk however I'm not sure I have the kit nor the knowledge to attempt soldering haha. Thanks for your reply! |

Hi Martin,
That's a very kind offer however I feel with the time and effort that would take I may as well just order the correct part as they're not all that expensive. Massive thank you though, very much appreciated. Max |

If the original seller of the incorrect part won’t refund or exchange the part, perhaps with a small hit on monies due to restocking, you can always put it up for sale on here and potentially get some money back.. there is bound to be someone who will buy it as it’s the right part for their defender.
