Puma indicator cutting out ignition/dash
Hi Guys ive got an electrical fault and im wondering if anyone else has had this issue.

When i put the offside indicator on, the dash goes on and off with the indicator flasher . it seems as its cutting out the ignition when flashing as everything goes off and on.

The nearside flasher and hazards are all fine.

thanks in advance

I would start by unplugging each indicator on that side one at a time and see if it is related to one of your lamps.

Try that first and let us know Smile  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

Also does the dash go off with the indicator coming on or off with it off?  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

Almost certainly an earth fault, check nothing has broken or come off the earth points on the bulkhead in the engine bay, especially on the offside.

cheers for the replies guys , i think ive narrowed it down to a speedo/ dash fault.

i disconnected all the indicator and the fault was still there, changed the flasher relay and stalks , still there.

i pulled the clocks out and test the feed into the clocks and 12v to the clocks from the flasher relay then swapped to a different wire when changed the flasher direction stalk , so all ok with the feeds into the clocks , so must be a fault with the clocks.

now to find new clocks .
