I would start by unplugging each indicator on that side one at a time and see if it is related to one of your lamps.

Also does the dash go off with the indicator coming on or off with it off? 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

Almost certainly an earth fault, check nothing has broken or come off the earth points on the bulkhead in the engine bay, especially on the offside.

cheers for the replies guys , i think ive narrowed it down to a speedo/ dash fault.
i disconnected all the indicator and the fault was still there, changed the flasher relay and stalks , still there. i pulled the clocks out and test the feed into the clocks and 12v to the clocks from the flasher relay then swapped to a different wire when changed the flasher direction stalk , so all ok with the feeds into the clocks , so must be a fault with the clocks. now to find new clocks . |
