Amazing how the "mood board" disappears when camouflaged - not! Rolling with laughter

Now I do like that.

I did a double-take, the 2 'squircles' look like they are on the side, not the rear.

The white steels maybe would’ve set it of better, or perhaps even painted them desert colour?

It needs better camouflage than that to hide it from my eyes!!
Probably better with that stealth system that James Bond had in Die Another Day, so it vanishes completely Rolling with laughter

I still think it is a lost opportunity :

Too expensive, complicated and with limited adaptability to appeal to the utility orientated market.
Too cramped in 110 form to be a worthy 7 seater successor to D4.
Not differentiated enough from other vehicles in the JLR offering.

It will no doubt be a great vehicle for some customers but it falls between two stools for me.

If one of these were damaged in an accident, how difficult would it be for a garage to repair it given the amount of sensors and electronics? 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

I would think that as a aluminium monocoque which is probably bonded together it will be a very difficult and expensive vehicle to repair, even before the electrical system becomes involved. I imagine it will be very easy indeed to write off with relatively minor looking body damage.

Edited to add: reply to Blackwolf.

I think you’re right. It’s very tough and will keep you safe like the old Deafener could not, even when fitted with a steel roll cage. But it might be a pig to fix if you have more than a minor shunt. That’s probably the design intent, and it’s not wrong in our ever human-centric and litigious world. I would not criticize the design for that. Maybe even a ute buyer would accept that compromise. But this car is not wholly a safety compromise. It is what LR could produce, not what it had the ability to produce. LR are - not for the first time - in a hole.

I hope they get out. I own two recent models, which are not my first. I love the brand but they’re muppets at the moment. At least squeeze Gerry’s balls and tell him to remember he’s working for a car firm, not Perry Grayson.

I really wish that I'd heeded your warning Big Cry Just because you're offended doesn't mean you're right.
