Yeah it’s coils I’m favouring. Nobody has tried one on coils but LR say Coil suspension A fully independent coil sprung suspension system that combines double wishbones at the front with an advanced multi-link rear suspension design to create an agile and responsive chassis. Ride comfort and stability when heavily laden are optimised through the use of secondary spring aids incorporated within the rear suspension. |

Is that actually at the Namibian press launch event? Might have to get Bellingcat on the case to geolocate the photo, but the video posted was that event? |

The photo looks like it’s from a Namibian press car.

Thanks.
So the Russian photo is actually cropped from this one (to remove the credit?): Click image to enlarge https://www.caradvice.com.au/834196/2020-l...nd-review/ And a strange comment in the same article as the above photo featured: "Say what you want about independent suspension in off-roaders, but not having two big beam axles getting whacked on rocks off-road is nice, and stops you from sweating over line choice so much." And something else I didn't know: "While the centre and rear differentials aren’t true locking units" Other photos of the repair from Caradvice: Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Last edited by Supacat on 17th Jun 2020 7:58am. lol, what a joke. My Puma arrived with a skew front axle, a loose anti-sway bar, the whole upper tub only bolted on with 1 out of 5 bolts IIRC (only discovered this a couple of years later). It is 10 years old and to this day I'm STILL finding manufacturing quality issues. -- 2010 Defender Puma 90 + BAS remap + Alive IC + Slickshift + Ashcroft ATB rear 2015 Range Rover Sport V8 Supercharged Defender Puma Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zZ1en9 Discovery 4 Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zXrtKO Range Rover/Sport L320/L322/L494 Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zc58JQ Last edited by Naks on 17th Jun 2020 10:06am. This the most positive thing I have seen about the new beast yet....repairs in the field. Now if were JLR I would embrace this and use it to my advantage. Something on the lines of the following.
"No matter how tough your vehicle, accidents will happen. However, like it's predecessor the New Defender can be repaired in the field with the minimum of fuss and tools. Reassuring to know. Land Rover.. Above and Beyond". Well that is what I'd do. Now not everyone carries and angle grinder or has the knowhow to accomplish this repair, but hey JLR do not have to mention that. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel 1992 110 200tdi csw -Zikali 2008 110 2.4 tdci csw-Zulu 2011 110 2.4 tdci csw-Masai |
