To all of you who have a Optimill QR hub, and want to get the Land Rover horn push back....
Click image to enlarge Here is a solution Go here. https://www.nakatanenga.de/zubehoer/innena...ender?c=13 Then go get one of these Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Lastly, go get 6 x M6 x 20mm counter sunk bolts, or button head, thread pitch is .8 if you need it The only issue is the surround has a slight 3mm lip, see picture 2 of the centre ring, which if removed, would allow the stitching to appear in the horn centre, but that requires a lathe... Tried and tested, and works just fine. Cheers Mark |

My horn push is on the stalk. You have one in the centre?

Very few cars have a horn on the indicator stick! Actually think it’s law now in the US for new cars.

Indeed, it's one of the reasons why I usually squirt the windscreen in cars other than my Defender! It was normal on the crappier British cars of the '60s and '70s but only our much-loved Defenders kept the tradition alive. I think it was usually done to avoid the need for slip rings or a hollow shaft on the column. |

And most British cars used the same steering columns for years, which never had the horns in the centre.... think the Mini was one of the first to in the centre. Some had the horn press on the floor....

In Italian cities the horn is applied by the brake pedal. Or so it would seem. WARNING.
