Looking good. I owned 52HG99 for a few years a while back and had the joy of doing the hinge panel and footwell replacement job. Fortunately the previous owner had already replaced the vent panel. The family still haven't forgiven me for selling it Big Cry

Thumbs Up Not too far from mine, was it still 24v and FFR? Hopefully I’ll get mine up to a light roll FFR as I have a rummage around a few mates sheds Whistle I will have to do the bulkhead at some point and get the correct upper vent panel but at the moment it’s good enough and my funds are low due to the current situation.

Well she’s 90% done now just wheels and tyres to sort before moving on to the interior.

It was 24V (IMO the only benefit of a 12V is the option of a cubby box or centre front seat) and was FFRish. The screened ignition system was swapped out before my ownership, I added an electronic module to eliminate the points.

Sold it to a RAF Puma technician who spent most of his time in Kabul.

If the right bits turn up mine might go back to 24v as I’ve spent a long time working with that setup I have to remind myself 11-14v on a circuit is normal Rolling with laughter

It’s funny how many serving and ex serving types purchase ex military vehicles, either ones they have used or older versions. 90 wolf - Jasmin http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic39408.html

Cheers g-Mack Thumbs Up I always said I’ll have one some day but this one turned up a lot sooner than I planned and practically fell in my lap, it was far too rude to turn it down much to my bank accounts dislike Rolling with laughter oh well tracing the history has definitely convinced me it was the right move. 90 wolf - Jasmin http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic39408.html

Raided the parts bin again last night (must be getting close to needing a replan soon) after a nice spot of lunch and a drive home the long way the Mrs was most unimpressed at the passenger door deciding to open itself on the right hand bends Rolling with laughter

So out to the shed when I was home to find a new latch and even managing to save the original barrel I now have a non self opening door Thumbs Up

I even managed to throw in some old rubber matting to stop me scuffing up the floor plates and load bed.

Today’s job between the showers is sorting out a little hub leak. 90 wolf - Jasmin http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic39408.html

A break in the weather allowed me to strip the drive flange and make up a new gasket, so fingers crossed that’s the leak sorted, I went around and topped up all the fluids too so she should be fine for a while now Thumbs Up

With rain being the prominent part of today I decided to hide in the workshop and make a start on the dash panels to replace the aftermarket ones currently fitted.

Even treated the gauges a little spruce up

Made a start on the wiring today before work, definitely not a quick job trying to sort out what has been done in the past and how it’s meant to go with the original set up but we love a challenge eh Rolling Eyes still it’s coming along and should be ready for the run on Sunday Very Happy

looking good and back to 'stock'. I had a set of those lights on my 200 tdi 110, took me ages to find a set at autojumbles. Are the tyres 650's? Like hens teeth now. I only need 8 for my 4x2 and fire engine 88 Big Cry 2010 XS USW
