If it helps, I am in the process of fitting the Labcraft, currently have some paint stuff to fix and relocate the rear screen washer jet.
Will feedback once I get some progress. Rgds. Chris |

If you are just looking for a bit more reversing light, then I just replaced my rear fog light for another reversing light which already has a dash switch. Which is ok here in Queensland as we rarely see fog.
Not sure how that goes with MOT's, reg's etc over in the UK though, but takes 5 mins to swap over if so inclined, food for thought. |

Hi, great stuff!
I have already mounted the lamp assembly. I did not mount the washer jet in the left corner as I had previous on my 90. I went for that solution. Click image to enlarge I think it will give a better distribution of the washer liquid. I thought of having on switch at the dash board and maybe a second one on the speaker housing for camping. PS: Replacing the rear fog light definitely doesn't work here in Europe! 2013 110 TD4 SW Utility 1997 110 Tdi300 Hard Top 2013 90 TD4 Hard Top (trashed) |

I finally found the purple wire on my MY13 Defender!
Click image to enlarge It terminates in the female part of the wiring loom. Now I need to find the right terminal to get it connected via the male connector of the towing bar loom. 2013 110 TD4 SW Utility 1997 110 Tdi300 Hard Top 2013 90 TD4 Hard Top (trashed) Last edited by BlackFender on 22nd May 2020 9:16am. Not sure if this was answered somewhere, but I found out the required plug is
Sumitomo DL Sealed Series 090/187 (2.3/4.8mm) HYBRID 9-way Male Housing, Sumitomo Part No. - 6195-0173 „ You will also need 7 x 090(2.3mm) and 2 x 187(4.8mm) Male Terminals, with the appropriate Wire Seals for each Terminal, and 2 x 090 Cavity Plugs for the two unused ways.“ Sumitomo‘s site seems to be down or the link outdated http://swsct.sws.co.jp/components/en/housi...1950173dls Funny thing: when I googled for an alternative source I got this rather old thread: https://www.defender2.net/forum/post37571.html If you find a link to buy these, I‘d be interested, too. Or maybe Martin can help? |

PaulMc on here sells most of these connectors, worth asking him. He also sells via Ebay, landroverconnectors, I think.

Installed today.
Click image to enlarge Used a 12v LED controller from eBay (less than £10) and wired into permanent live lurking in the rear offside panel. Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Works a treat and has a dimmer function on the remote. Click image to enlarge Rgds. Chris |

Thank you guys for the very usefull information. landroverconnectors is not doing buisness at the moment but I found another supplier. Ordered some terminals today to get the 12V out of the loom without cutting any wires.
Click image to enlarge Will post if it worked. @macfrank: I ordered some more. If it works I can send you the respective terminal! 2013 110 TD4 SW Utility 1997 110 Tdi300 Hard Top 2013 90 TD4 Hard Top (trashed) |

Great job! The dimmer seems to be great for camping as the Scene Light is quite bright. Good for working though, but maybe less desireable when drinking red wine in the evening... 2013 110 TD4 SW Utility 1997 110 Tdi300 Hard Top 2013 90 TD4 Hard Top (trashed) |

Was thinking about fitting a Labcraft Scenelight in a smilar method, what's the light quality (brightness & spread) like when fitted? Zaid-M www.DefencePhotos.com 2014 Defender 110 Utility, 2.2 Puma, Indus Silver Not just transport more like a religion |
