Garmin inreach mini and iPad mini install
In preparation for a my trip across Spain and Portugal, which obviously got postponed, here is my install for GPS and mapping when out of mobile range / coverage / maps offline / downloads. The dash top has a double RAM ball mount, a iPad mini ram mount, and the inreach mini back plate, one mount to a long arm connector, one to a short arm connector, screwed into the top with a double USB installed next to it, hard wired to the fuse box, 90 deg angle USB cables keep it somewhat tidy. I also cut a small bit of black carpet to cover the dash top. The cables can be hidden behind the mounts, out of sight and lopped up. Turned out well I think.
Can all be taken off in a minute leaving the ram mount... 3 screws and that’s off

Looks great. Check that it is legal in countries you are travelling to in terms of % of windscreen covered.

that’s why it’s on quick release mounts and the iPad really on for offload / tracks etc, sure the local plod won’t be on those We drove the Pyrenees last summer, east to west, didn’t see a single police car in 3 weeks
