HI John
Lovely set up. Would like your take on the the springs you got on them, I am looking at the Alive front and rears F -1.5 R-1 and the Anti roll bar which i think is 25mm for the rear and Alive Doesnt list one for the front. Ofcourse using the fox 2.0 Adjustable all four corners. And the Wild Bear front turret looks quite good as well. my question is is there a specific reason for you opted for the -2m all round vs the Alive springs ? And where did you get the front Anti roll bars and what is the spec on them. Thanks for your help cheers |

Hi. What made me go down this route? I have a bit of LR experience and knew what I wanted versus what people wanted to sell me. Although it’s -2 all around due to the poundage and depending on what you have bolted to your own car as previously mentioned it sits @ -1 front -2 rear. This makes it level to the eye more as 110 sit high on the back in my humble opinion. Again at the time I didn’t feel alive were talking my language at all. Certainly people were removing them as quick as they fitted them. I haven’t looked recently but this may not now be the case. I can only say how I found them at the time. The current setup is spot on for my personal use. I live in the countryside and don’t want a hard ride. The springs are in fact an eibach spring but don’t get suckered in by the name as they come in various ratings. These are in fact an urban automotive spring but I outsourced them for no special reason it was just what happened on the day. As previously posted it has changed the turn in and delayed rear feeling that it had out the factory. I should say that would be the anti roll mostly. Other personal reasons were to do with automatic tolls in Europe that measure at 2 meter high and it put me under this height as the rear only was over 2mtr as factory standard. That and a rag doll feeling when passing trucks at speed in Europe were all factors in dropping the height. I had/ have no interest in taking this vehicle off road and also a roller garage door that was snug. So like I say reasons for me that might not be for you. Some like it some don’t get it but I think they forget it’s yours and you alone know what you use it for. Hope that helps.

The other is the one that being worked onto make it a pure sport and a weekend toy. 1. where did you buy the springs and is there a specific model to look for. 2. Your suggestions for the Anti roll bars ? 3. Defenderupgrades.co.uk list Anti roll bars from Eibach 30mm front and 25mm rear Is this the setup you got on yours. Thanks Again MK |

Nice to hear from John Any new updates on the Defender, any planned work?
Just wondering now you've had the adjustable dampers a while, do you find yourself adjusting settings often or at all? Captmk, welcome to Defender2 Maybe you'd consider starting your own thread? I'd enjoy seeing your Defenders (we love photos) and follow developments, as well some scenic shots in your beautiful country. James

Hi James. Nothing much changed here as life gets in the way, still working etc.... Adjustment- yes I do as it takes only a moment and the girls complain if it’s jiggly on our country roads but it drives better when firm back on better quality roads. I thing your the same? |

Hi John,
I found your thread reading the Alive one, I'm looking at something similar for a new project, where did you get your springs and shocks from? Cheers James |

Hi John, lovely vehicle btw. Credit to you! Could I ask where you have your remote reservoirs on the front. Trying to work out a neat and good looking way to mount them in the engine bay and failing at the minute!
