In your case the slave cylinder is located on the left side of the bellhousing about half way up. Sounds like air in the line. Puma 110" SW

If it's a Puma the slave cylinder in inside the bellhousing - it's an annular unit round the gearbox input shaft and to access it you have to remove the gearbox/transfer box assembly.
The object on the outside is the return flow regulator in the hydraulic line (provided to protect the transmission due to the reaction of the anti-stall if your foot slips off the pedal). If the clutch suddenly gets light but still works I would initially suspect the pedal return spring, but I am not sure why it would then go back to normal. |
