Wow, thank you chaps!
The D pillars are wrapped in textured vinyl from the factory. I have removed the vinyl and painted directly onto the aluminium panel underneath 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon 1990 Vogue SE Triumph Tiger Explorer 1200 Td5 90 Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic50767.html Tdi 110 Thread https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic69562.html RRC Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic54492.html Instagram http://www.instagram.com/george_grafton |

The Range Rovers first outing in 2020, just a trip down to the harbour for a meal. Every time I drive it I still can't quite believe how it was only a couple of years ago to how it is now

it has come a long way, I remember when me and my dad worked on the rover metro gta, We used to be out there a good few hours, and we would push forwards. Even if it was a little job it was a major step forward, when we got the car running for the 1st time, we were yeah, it was a light at the end of the tunnel. I do miss projects like this and my dad does too, if he wasn't such a moody arse we would have gone further with his land rover. But then again we will have to see what this year brings. Stunning work George.
I'm jealous at the time, space and skill you have, as well as the finished article. The level of quality shines through and I suspect if it had been to one of the "restorers" out there you'd be faced with a bill heading north of 4 figures. Keep up the cracking work and I'll wait patiently to see what the next project is 2007 - Stornoway Grey 90 XS SW - Gone 2002 - Black Discovery II - Gone 2014 - Montalcino Red 110 XS SW |

Been to collect a new tailgate for the Range Rover today, a heater tab came off and a repair was unsuccessful. National Windscreens couldn't replace the glass so a complete tailgate was on the cards.
It'll be painted gloss black and rust treated before fitting to ensure a long service life Click image to enlarge 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon 1990 Vogue SE Triumph Tiger Explorer 1200 Td5 90 Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic50767.html Tdi 110 Thread https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic69562.html RRC Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic54492.html Instagram http://www.instagram.com/george_grafton |

It seemed lighter than the original but I haven't looked closely to see if it actually is aluminium. I suspect it is. The cost (are you sitting down?) was
£50.00! It was covered by the glass cover on my insurance policy and, as they couldn't replace the glass in the original tailgate, the insurance company covered an entire replacement - result 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon 1990 Vogue SE Triumph Tiger Explorer 1200 Td5 90 Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic50767.html Tdi 110 Thread https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic69562.html RRC Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic54492.html Instagram http://www.instagram.com/george_grafton |
