[Wanted] Damaged/Broken Crank Shaft for furniture
Has anyone got a knackered crank shaft they would be willing to post at my cost, plus a fee for the shaft if necessary? I want to use one as a pedestal base for a small table.

How damaged?

I have two that have been snapped in half... One is currently in an engine in the barn. The other has rusted up somewhat but should clean off easily.

If you wanted I could probably weld the two halves together. Ed

Cheers Sako, that’s really kind of you. I’ve had a couple of PMs though and a few leads on complete units, and as I’m garbage at welding I need to go for a full one!!

Suli: I’ll post some pics when I’m done. I’ve had a really kind offer of three 300tdi cranks, so I’ll make a coupe of tables and stick one of them up in here for sale or blind auction or similar with proceeds being split between the site and help for heroes.

I have an old 13 litre hollow camshaft in the workshop that I've thought about making in to a lamp of some sort. suppose I'd best fix the 90 first Whistle

In no rush for them Sako, so whenever suits you is great. I’ll be able to weld them as well, so don’t worry about glueing then back together!!
